May 2019
Last week saw a series of events take place to mark the opening of Jake Wood-Evans' latest solo exhibition Legacy & Disorder at Unit London.
The show, which features a series of full length figures alongside smaller intimate studies, will now run until 15th June 2019.
Legacy & Disorder centres around Wood-Evans' fascination with combining the past and present. The artist’s large-scale oil paintings convey an altered atmosphere and re-appropriated view of 18th-century subjects, including portraiture, seascapes and figurative compositions.

A VIP dinner was held at the gallery, as well as a fascinating in-conversation talk between Jake and the renowned curator, writer and broadcaster Kathleen Soriano. This was followed by the private view, which saw more than 700 people arrive to view the works. Click any of the images below to open the slideshow.
